About Brookvale
Cottage, Co Down

Self-Catering Cottage, in the heart of County Down

Luxurious Cottage

Brookvale Cottage is set in the rolling drumlins of County Down in a peaceful rural setting. The cottage was formerly an outbuilding constructed from field stone and used to store the potatoes gathered from the surrounding fields during harvest to feed the family.

In 2004 Pamela & Andrew converted the outbuilding as there was a limited amount of accommodation in the area. They incorporated natural materials such as green oak beams, slate floors and oak doors and used traditional methods. The cottage opened its’ doors in 2005 and has welcomed guests from around the world over the years, with many visitors coming back again and again to enjoy the cosy cottage and warm welcome.

The location of the cottage is ideal as it is in a peaceful rural location but within easy access to Belfast, Lisburn, Dublin and many wonderful attractions including Rowallane, Strangford, Mournes and many more!

  • Open plan living, kitchen, diner
  • Patio area, large gardens and on site parking
